🌌 Silence Between Stars – The Third Anthology from Eldritch Cat Press
The stars are watching, their distant eyes uncaring and devoid of emotion. The veil is thin, and sometimes the most terrifying things don’t scream — they whisper.
Eldritch Cat Press will be seeking submissions for Silence Between Stars, a cosmic horror and speculative fiction anthology. We’ll be on the lookout for stories that explore the emotional and personal side of the unknowable: alien visitors, surreal dreams, eerie space transmissions and deep mysteries that echo through the soul would be at home here. For this anthology we’ll be leaning towards stories that feel like voids: unsettling, lost and maybe even horrifying as your mind frays at the edges.
Think:
- Siblings haunted by a constellation that never appears on anyone else’s star map
- A message received from deep space written in a unknown language
- A character who learns they’re just a fragment of an eldritch god’s unfinished thought
Submission Guidelines:
- Word Count: 1,500–4,500 words
- Genres: Cosmic horror, dark sci-fi, quiet horror, surreal or speculative fiction
- Tone: Unsettling, eerie, outer space, chilling
- Payment: $10 + digital copy
- Previously unpublished work only
